The founder Mr Karl Frankenberg ,a mechanic from Germany came to South Africa and started Franken Auto Services in 1985 providing his customers with the quality of service that their German cars would have been getting from the factory that they were being manufactured in.

Mr. Frankenberg continued to provide this service and train his staff in the methods of a German trained technician for many years. In 2005 Mr. Frankenberg employed a 17 year old aspiring mechanic, Kamil Singh who had just completed his motor mechanic studies with distinction.

Mr. Frankenberg saw potential in this youth and proceeded to mentor and guide him into becoming a qualified ‘German trained’ motor vehicle technician and he is now managing Franken Auto Services keeping the traditions and standards that Mr. Frankenberg used to establish the workshop for all these years.
